This Porsche 910 re-creation was built as a rolling chassis by ID8 Design in Sonoma, California, in 2012 for the Wilson Collection in Florida, where the project was completed with the installation of a Willison Werkstatt-built 2.8L flat-six. Featuring fiberglass bodywork finished in white over a tubular spaceframe, the car is equipped with a cable-shifted Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle, slide-valve throttle bodies, twin-plug ignition, a front-mounted oil cooler, disc brakes with aluminum calipers and adjustable bias, coilover suspension, center-lock 13” magnesium wheels, racing seats upholstered in red, a six-point driver’s harness, and a fire-suppression system. This Porsche 910 re-creation was acquired by the seller in 2022 and has been on display ever since. The car is not equipped with a serial number and is not intended for street use. It does not have a title and is being sold on a bill of sale.

The 910 was introduced in 1966 as a successor to the 906 after evolving from the development of the 1965 Ollon-Villars Spyder hill-climb prototype. Featuring targa coupe styling and Formula 1-style 13” wheels, the 910 gave Porsche a sweep of the top four positions in the 1967 Nürburgring 1000 km as well as a victory in the 1967 Targa Florio. Simulating the 910’s composition of unstressed fiberglass panels over a tubular spaceframe, this re-creation’s chassis and body were constructed by Erik Shahoian’s ID8 Design in 2012. An additional tube is incorporated into the roll-hoop structure of the replica frame.

The exterior is finished in Grand Prix White with yellow and red accents wrapped over the nose panel. Features include forward-hinged doors, a removable targa panel, a plexiglass windshield and windows, faired-in headlights, and a door-mounted driver-side mirror.

Replica magnesium wheels made by Jongbloed Racing are secured by hexagonal center-lock nuts and are wrapped in Avon tires measuring 8.2/22.0-13 up front and 10.5/23.0-13 at the rear. Stopping is handled by disc brakes with aluminum re-creation Versuch 908-style calipers, dual master cylinders, adjustable front-rear bias, and cooling ducts.

The cockpit houses a pair of bucket seats that are upholstered in red cloth and are equipped with a Simpson six-point harness for the driver and a Sabelt four-point harness for the passenger. The inner fiberglass surfaces are finished in gray enamel, and additional features include hinged vent windows, door-latch pull cables, an aluminum accelerator pedal, and a fire-suppression system.

The three-spoke Nardi steering wheel sits ahead of a black fiberglass dash panel that houses VDO instrumentation including an 8k-rpm tachometer and gauges monitoring oil temperature and pressure.

The 2.8-liter flat-six was built by Willison Werkstatt in Lake Park, Florida, in 2013 using a machined 930/04 case and replacement pistons, cylinders, and connecting rods. Features include mechanical fuel injection, slide-valve throttle bodies topped with intakes trumpets, dual-plug ignition with MoTeC management, a front-mounted oil cooler, and a custom exhaust with three-into-one headers. A dynamometer sheet from October 2013 is included in the photo gallery below, and the engine was reportedly serviced with fresh fluids by Bernard de Dryver in 2022.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle with a side-mount cable-shift mechanism. Independent suspension incorporates aluminum uprights, titanium ball joints, and coilover shock absorbers.
