Description:

A perfect example of everyone's favorite looking Historic Formula Ford, this is a celebrity
car to boot, having been owned and campaigned by U.S. motorsports announcer Paul Page.
This car is a completely correct restoration of the first model produced for Formula Ford.
It retains the original Renault box and left hand shifter.
It is unique in not having been updated to the non-original Hewland box or later types B/C
rear suspension. It features a Jay Ivey prepared engine. The car was completely
restored by Bruce Miller in 1991 and has been raced only a few times since. The chassis
is painted the correct slate gray, and the red seat cover and steering wheel provide
a perfect highlight to the BRG with yellow stripe exterior. For the collector
who values originality there is no better example of the car which inaugurated the training
formula for the next two generations of competition drivers.

History

The car was owned and driven by motorsports announcer Paul Page in numerous SCCA events in the Midwest.
It has spent it's entire life in the Midwest, being campaigned first in Formula Ford, then SCCA Club
Ford, and was restored in 1991 to take part in Historic Formula Ford competitions.
