Description:

Dave Watson was an engineer who built multiple tube frame chassis for SCCA Trans-am and IMSA. This was his personal race car for the Trans am series in 1984. He went to work for Jack Roush Racing in 1985. This is a well engineered chassis with radius bent rectangular tube frame chassis. It was run in 21 SCCA Pro Trans am races 1984-88. In 1984 it had several top 5 finishes and a pole position. This Watson built chassis started out as a Pontiac Firebird but when Chevy offered better factory support later in the season Dave switched the body to a Camaro. Fischer Engineering, the same engine builder that took care of the championship T/A Camaro provide engines and sponsorship. Dave sold the Camaro at the end of 1984 to John Brandt who continued to race the race in Trans-am until 1984. This Camaro has original SCCA log books. It is in very original condition. All the mechanical systems have been rebuilt, including fresh motor, diff, trans, all calipers and master cylinders rebuilt .Wheel bearings replaced. It is ready to do a race set up and test.
