Description:

This car has just been gone through by a professional race team, comprising a virtual restoration.
All suspension pieces and engine bay brace have been replated in nickel, the cell re-foamed, hydraulics
completely rebuilt, and the body repainted. The tub is in excellent condition. The Hart BDJ has been
freshened and the gearbox gone through. It is ready for the track.

History

The BT41, designed by Geoff Ferris, was the final customer car from Brabham. Very similar
to the F2 BT40 it shared an almost identical tub, which on the F3 car had an inner mild steel skin
to make minimum weight. An angular car, the F2 design carried a full width sports car nose while
the F3 had a more conventional chisel nose with dive planes. Both cars carried side rads. Despite
efforts by John Watson and Adrea De Adamich it was to be March's year with priprieatry BMW power and
the BDA ppwered cars of any type faded.
