In 2023, Almo Coppelli (a 12-time Le Mans 24Hrs driver, today a personal racing driver coach & International Motorsport Consultant) decided, along with an Indonesian friend and sporting partner, to purchase a project to build a Lola T70 MK3B car to compete in the Peter Auto Series and Master Series, with the objective to give Almo the opportunity to return to the French marathon, which has always held a special place in his mind.
At the start of 2024, an agreement was reached with Fox Racing Developments Ltd, with Chris Fox being one of the best-known and respected specialists in restoring historic cars, particularly those built by Lola, and specifically the Lola T70 MK3B model.
Fox Racing Developments Ltd was formed in the late 80s by Chris Fox, a former member of the Lola Thundersports team, they have since acquired all the historic spares for the Lola marque, as well as amassing an archive of drawings and resources, Fox Racing Developments Ltd now restores and produces also the Lola T70 MK3B model.
After 16 months of intense work, the car was finally completed, about a month ago, the FIA certification (HTP) was obtained, valid until December 31st, 2035.
This Lola T70 MK3B, meets the highest standards of quality and excellence in every detail.
Recently, Almo Coppelli and his Indonesian friend and racing partner saw a racing project in Asia, which had been on hold for some time, come to fruition, this fact led to the decision, albeit reluctantly due to the obvious incompatibility between the two racing programs, to put this stunning example up for sale, this Lola T70 MK3B is now waiting to write its own history anywhere in the world.
In April 2025, Almo Coppelli and Chris Fox have carried out shakedown on the Silverstone Circuit, and everything functioned perfectly.
The car has returned to Fox Racing Developments Team base near Huntingdon, where it can be viewed by appointment only.
