Vintage Vegantune BDD race motor
Description:
Vegantune identification on alloy cam cover ("BA030") and dry sump pan and on steel rods and cam gear. Vintage 3 bolt head with new custom valve guides and port matched DCOE intake maniford.
While the engine is similar to Cosworth, final machining is believed to have been by Vegantune. The valve guides were found to be larger than OD on Cosworth, requiring custom valve guides.
Rods are embossed as "1F 6200 BA" and cam gear as "BA0026".
Some information found on the net shows the results of a Vegantune BT29 winning in FB in early 70s and a 16V Vegantune motor was displayed at the Birmingham auto show in the late 60s.
