Street car till 87. Raced in SCCA from 1988 till 2006. Rebuilt & Race prepped in 2010 and did one race. Race prepped again in 2013 but owner did not race it. Race prepped again in 2019 but new owner did not participate.
The car has been used more on the road than the race track but has competed in Alfa Romeo Club racing since 2013 at North Island Tracks. Not a car to buy if you want to win races but could be as the basis
According to Adriaensens & Dasse, "Alleggerita" (2d Ed. 2012) pp. 445-9, similar Alfa GTVs were raced in SCCA Challenge events in 1971-2 running single ignition, modified 2 L. engines with 2 Weber 45 DCOE carburetors
