Description
I can't tell you how many people wanted to buy this trailer when I used to take it to the track. With an empty weight of under 2400 pounds, even when you add two formula cars and spares it is well within the tow weight of a smaller SUV. I used to tow to Florida (and just about everywhere else) from the Northeast with a V6 Blazer with no problem. Any bigger trailer requires a special purpose tow vehicle. It is the most cost-effective way to get two formula cars or a formula car and a production racer to the track. Perfect for the club racer, vintage guy wanting to run two groups or double up with a pal or for a pro shop it makes a great test day trailer. Custom ordered from Pace I consulted with their application engineers to determine the best way to build a ramp system. To replicate this trailer today would cost well over $10k. The bare trailer from Pace lists at over $5k. Add the features below and the ramp system and it is a steal. All original paperwork from the factory and the design notes for the ramp system come with it. The trailer has the following features:
custom built an extra foot high to allow two cars
RV awning (Carefree of Colorado Fiesta)
three door parts cabinet
E-track on floor and ramps
adjustable ramp height
dual winches (one to pull a car up the ramp and hold it, another to raise the ramp)
ramps reconfigure as dual storage shelves
mounted spare wheel and tire
plexi mirror
extra interior lights
interior lights battery powered
storage tube for awning poles
stabilizer jacks
clothes hooks
thermometer and humidistat
digital clock
white board
I used this trailer for my prep shop for 5 or six years and then put it in storage at my ranch in New Mexico, just in case I decided to go racing again, so it really has been used for only half its life. I finally decided I probably wasn't going racing again. I just spent the better part of a month going through the whole trailer making it mechanically and cosmetically pristine. It cleaned up really well, just a bit of print-through from my old graphics on the side panels, but I did the hard part and got the old vinyl off so its ready for your's. I went through just as if I was going to do a season in it, but I'm not, you are. I comprehensively cleaned it, re-coated the polyurethane on the walls and floor, coated the ramp with two coats of epoxy paint with anti-slip texture, made it all very nice and replaced everything which needed it. The following items are NEW:
new aluminum fenders
new brake system (4 new backplates and all brake parts)
new quick-access grease cups
new break-away battery
three new tires
new parts cabinet
new RV awning canopy
This trailer is sanitary and absolutely ready to go.
Thanks, Bill Dolson
History
I special ordered the trailer for my prep shop, used it for 5 or six years, then stored it in dry southwestern New Mexico for another five years. I just went through it completely as if I was going racing in it.
