Newley built storage case for your Hewland FT gearsets. This case holds 21 sets of FT gears, 4 sets of second gears, and 17 sets of top gears (3rd, 4th, 5th). The box is constructed of 3/4 inch plywood for the top and bottom, and this particular box has 1/2 inch thick oak sides. These are heavy duty boxes and will last a long time. The box has a 2 foot piano type hinge for the lid. The posts are built from poplar and have spacers on them so your gears fit nice and snug so they dont rattle around. For the 2nd gear sets there is a spacer included to fit between the the 2 gears so they dont move either, although some 2nd gearsets have a larger diameter on the smaller gear snout, and the spacers dont work with those gears. The movement in those cases is minimal.
