THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER. I READ ON THE INTERNET THAT THE TALLER 711 BLOCK WAS PRODUCED FOR MORE POWER, LONGER STROKE,THE OTHER DEMENSIONS BEING THE SAME, EXCEPT FOR THE MTR. MOUNTS. IF YOU CUT 1/2 INCH OFF THE TOP IS THE BLOCK DECK TOO THIN ON THE 711 OR WHAT.
