Does anyone have any real world data/experience on using a limited slip diff. in a Twin Cam (Lotus) powered car, formula or sports racer, who ran an open diff. and then ran back to back, in the same car to with a limited slip. What was the difference in lap times, if any, with a 175 to 200HP car. Do you think the limited slip helps in a car in this horsepower range? I have heard some conflicting views and am trying to make a determination on a car I'm preparing. Also any driving comparisions of the cam and pawl type to the Quaife would be helpful. Please email me direct at irwin_eng(at)hotmail.com

Thanks. David
