Description
2.0L Ford wet sump engine with Mk3 Cortina transmission. Rebuilt several years ago and used periodically in a Lotus Seven replica for lapping days at the local track. The bore and cylinder head are stock. At the time of rebuild it had new cast TRW flat top pistons, Hastings rings, Sealed Power bearings, HV oil pump, a valve job using stock replacement parts and a Crane cam 274/284 duration and 435/458 lift. A new reman Weber 32/36 DAFV with no choke was installed at the same time. The fuel pump, alternator, starter, and K&N air filter are all new with no miles. The engine has been in inside heated storage since last used about 5 years ago. Includes a Mk3 Cortina 4 speed transmission with 30,000 original miles on it. This engine is suitable for your vintage race Cortina, Capri, Pinto or converted to dry sump for a SP2000 or FF2000. Depending on the application the engine should be good to go as is but I would recommend replacing the timing belt and checking valve lash first. $2000.00.
