Description

This is a complete, partially rebuilt Cosworth FVA F2 engine. It was stripped for inspection and rebuild a few years ago. The engine was prepared for reassmelby when the owner stopped the work due to a funds shortage. The head was rebuilt by CES in the U.K. The engine has not been reassembled but is complete. The block probably needs a new set of liners. It comes with Lucas fuel injection.

History

This engine was the first Cosworth twin cam engine to go into production and established the successful twin cam/narrow included valve angle format. This motor was dominant in the 1.6 litre Formula 2 1967-71 seasons. This engine is the direct ancestor of the legendary DFV V-8.
