This HISTORIC 3K-R, used in F3 races and circuit races, maintained & upgraded by C-Auto Performance Motorsports, were all developed by TOSCO (now TRD) and supplied by Toyota Motors Corp (Japan) to only few racing clubs worldwide. Originally raced in 1970s to 1980s initially in Japan then on international venues of circuit racing. This 3K-R was sourced from a racing club in Southeast Asia, guaranteed in good racing condition as it is rebuilt, reconditioned and upgraded by C-Auto Performance Motorsports (Philippines). History
Developed by TOSCO (TRD) & TMC Japan in 1970s raced in 1973 Fuji Speedway 5th Race that won 1 & 2 podium beating the reigning champs of that time - Datsun Sunnys. This 3K-R was actually one of the two engines that won in the '73 Fuji Speedway 5th Race, as indicated by its cylinder head # "Y0002". These engines were also raced in INDY F300 (1975) finishing 1, 2 and 3 places. These very RARE & world-famous 3K- Rs were supplied to only a select few auto clubs like TOM'S because only a handful (20 units only) were ever produced at a cost of USD2Million to develop in the '70s. This 3K-R is one of the last two known complete unit in existence as others were damaged during races or cannibalized for spare parts (the other one is in Odaiba, Japan Toyota History Museum), making it highly sought-after and collectible engine!!!
