Description

This is a wings and slicks single seater designed for a single car class in the UK. Not to be confused with a Formula Ford 2000 or Formula Continental, Formula 2000 featured a modern Ford OHC engine. The car cannot be adapted to FF2000 or FC since the chassis is a semi-monocoque.

This car is a race and Brand Hatch festival winner. The engine has very little time since rebuild, and the car is fitted with a 1995 spec chassis. The car is currently fitted with a Pi 2+2 data logging system and lap timer which is available for an additional £650 or could be supplied with the original instruments for the above quoted price. It is supplied with mounted slicks and rains and a full set of spare bodywork as well as vaious springs and setups. A purpose built enclosed trailer is also available for an additional £500.

History

Formula 2000 was conceived to revive wings and slicks cars in the UK as a one make class featuring cars similar to Vauxhall Juniors. The inaugural year featured a £40,000 prize to anyone capable of winning all the series races from pole, which was actually achieved. After an auspicious start the series faded from the spotlight last year.
