Description This car is very clean and in good condition but has not been raced since 1998. The car would most likely require a brake system rebuild and updated seat belts in addition to adding your engine.

History

Currnet owner purchased the car in May of 1993 from a gentleman out of Western PA. After purchase the owner went through the car including replacemnet of many suspension bolts, rod ends, bushings and a TDI rebuild of the steering rack. The car has 63 races total on it since new. Some suspension crash damage is indicated in the log book for 1985 & 1989. the current owner has only used the car for nine races since purchasing due to family commitments and 3 corporate relocations during that timeframe. All events competed in were SCCA Regional events. The car was last raced at Lime Rock in June of 1998. Due to the strength of the Royale tub this car would also make an excellent C-Sports Racer. In 1989 the car was updated in Hugh Kleinpeter's shop (Royale USA). At that time all RP-42 suspension updates were done. Additionally, Kleinpeter moved the side radiators forward slightly and lowered the tail of the car. This greatly improved straight line speed and you will note that the tail is significantly lower than a stock RP-38 tail.
