Description
This car is a rare example of the original "Soft Window" Targa body style. This is the fifty third (53) Targa
made. A bare metal restoration and engine build was completed from 1995 through 1997 by Storz Garage in Colorado.
All work has been completed to the highest professional standards. The entire car has been upgraded for vintage
racing within allowable provisions set forth by RMVR. This car is prepared and ready to race.
History
This car was originally a New Jersey car that was occasionally used in autocrossing events. The current
owner purchased the car after the former owner moved to Colorado in 1993. The car was faithfully restored
(bare metal) to its original condition, and subsequently rebuilt for vintage racing with RMVR. A certificate
of authenticity from Porsche Cars of North America verifies the cars serial number, original equipment, and
original sale. The owner has a Colorado Motor Vehicle Title and License for street use as well. This car
has always been stored in a heated garage space.
Recent Competition History
After restoration the owner submitted the car for acceptance in RMVR for racing, it was accepted.
The car was raced 3 times in 1997 including the Steamboat Vintage Races. The car always finished in the
top five in class and suffered no mechanical or driver initiated failures (i.e. crashes)
