A LeMans competitor C2 car in 1988 and 1989, this endurance prototype has just undergone a complete

History
The Argo concern was formed by highly regarded Swiss designer Jo Marquart who had proven his worth
at McLaren, Huron, GRD, and Modus. Spurred on by the failure of Modus, Marquart set up shop in
East Anglia at Wymondham, aided by ex Novamotor agent American John Peterson and Nick Jordan. Initially
concentrating on F3 in 1977 the firm experienced mixed success in both F3, Super Vee, and Atlantic.
Perhaps their best efforts were expended on their endurance cars.
This JM19 ran at Le Mans as a C2 car in 1988, finishing 21st, and 1989, with a DNF. The car ran in
red, white and blue Speedy livery and is documented in the Le Mans book. It currently appears in an all black scheme. After it's endurance
career, it competed in Supersports and then hillclimbs. Recently purchased in Switzerland and imported
to the US, it was race prepared and then tested only.
