Description This car has had 4 races since body off restoration, complete rebuild/replace of all components.

History

The current owner has traced the history back thru the last six owners and he has spoken with each one. The original owner remains at large. It is believed that this car has been a race car since day 1, and verified that it has been raced since the second owner. The Watkins Glen track historian sent the current owner race results dating back to 1968. In 1979, this car set the short course track record at Watkins Glen. "a sheet with previous owner details is available upon request"

Restoration

A body-off restoration started in December 1995 was finished in 1997. Frame and all suspension components, were sandblasted and painted. ball joints, idler bushings, cross-rod assembly, tie rod asemblies were all replaced. 4 new Koni shocks were installed. New dual brake master cylinder and all 4 wheel cylinders & shoes were replaced. A new six point roll cage was installed including dual side bars & front leg bar. The car was painted and lettered (Pacesetter Datsun) as it was run in the 1960's with the written permission from the prior owner at the time (Bob Henderson).

Recent Competition History

Since the restoration has been completed, the car has raced with HSR and SVRA 4 weekends with no DNF's. The car is fully sorted and ready for the next owner to enjoy.
