Description

1972 TVR VIXEN M-CHASSIS: The first Hybrid TVR made. Shipped originally to Germany and then to the USA. I have the list of owners for this car from beginning to current date. A total restoration was completed in May 2006. Rebuilt TR6 with all the right pieces. New rod and main bearings, decked block and shaved head, 10.5 to 1 compression. New camshaft (fuel injected type for higher lift and duration) and shot peened rods. Modified head, balanced engine, new rings, pistons, etc. 200 BHP. All aeroquip hoses, spax adjustable shocks, 5 original Shelby wheels, and new interior, seats, headliner and carpets. Custom aluminum dash, 4-speed with over drive transmission. AM/FM/CD and clock. Custom roll bar, custom exhaust, custom headers, triple 40 DCOE Webers, petronix, MSD, aluminum undercarriage, 4-point Simpson belts, and rear window defroster. All grade 8 bolts throughout, new wheel bearings, seals, etc., front and rear. Detailed suspension. A show winner! Over $60,000 invested plus countless hours of labor. Receipts to back up claims. Another Mike Zappa restoration. Over the top by anyones standards. You can buy a cheaper car but here is an opportunity to own the absolute best! Time and money invested was no issue!! Asking $50,000 OBO.

History

This is the first hybrid M-chassis made. Vin No. is 2258. This car was originally delivered to Germany to a Ken and Jodi Moline. Ken was an Army officer. The car was brought to the United States in November of 1975. It was sold to a Richard Barlow in early 1977. Then the car was sold to Chet Kenoyer in mid-1977. Gerald and Shelia Gooch purchased the care in late 1977 and kept the car until October of 1988 when Richard Gunn purchased it. I have records dating back to early 1980 in my possession. When I purchased the car in October of 2003 an extensive restoration process was started. All the wheels are Shelby American original aluminum 8 spoke wheels. The engine was removed and rebuilt.
