Bobby Unser went on to win the race in a sister car. Mears dominated that years chamionship in the extremely successful Penske design. Sponsors were Gould and AB D ick. Chief Mechanic, Peter Parrott.

The car is in extremely original and unmolested condition. The car was built by Penske Cars, Ltd., Poole, Dorset, England.

History

The PC9B was another dominant Penske design and was the tool for a superb Mears Championship. Rick's wins in the PC9B for the year included Michigan, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Pocono.
