1982 Tyrrell 011-4 Formula 1 TGP Car

The history of the Tyrrell 011-4 is probably the most interesting and valuable amongst the TGP cars. This car has won the 1983 US-East Grand Prix in Detroit, driven by Michele Alboreto, who died in 2001 during a test session for AUDI´s Le Mans effort. It is the last car to win a Grand Prix for Tyrrell, it has been the last car to win Grand Prix with a normally aspirated engine and it is the car to win a Grand Prix with a Cosworth DFV engine (actually it was the DFY stage).
After it had to give way to the newer Tyrrell 012 at the Grand Prix in Austria 1983 and before it went into the FIA TGP championship, it was used by its US-sponsor only for display and never raced.
The car has been raced at several events in the 2001 FIA Thoroughbred Grand Prix Championship with an overall sixth as a best result.
