This is the 1981 Formula Atlantic championship winning car driven by Jacques Villeneuve (brother of the late F1 driver, Gilles Villeneuve and uncle of F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve) and prepared by Doug Shierson Racing. 1981 Shierson qualifying/practice notes and set-up sheets are included. Car is race ready with recently rebuilt engine run in several autocross events. Many spares are included, new nose, new side pod, center body, new aluminum monocoque shells, wheels, gears, nose mold, side pod molds, center body mold, upright casting mold, and spare suspension pieces.

Doug Shierson racing ran chassis #2 in the 1981 Formula Atlantic series, winning races at Mosport, Mid-Ohio, Mexico and Trois-Rivieres and the championship with Jacques at the wheel. Jacques moved briefly to F1 and then to Cart Indy Cars and Chassis #2 continued to be campaigned in the Pro Formula Atlantic series. After being raced for several more years, the car, gearbox and engine were completely rebuilt for club racing in 1987. From 1987 until 2002 it ran 29 race events, and it has been auto-crossed occasionally since 2002. It was last auto-crossed in October 2005.
