In 1976 Gilles Villeneuve won 9 of the 10 starts that he made in the 76B facilitating his first Atlantic championship. He then went on to win a second Atlantic championship in 1977 battling his March 76B against those of Bobby Rahal and Price Cobb. In 1978 a final championship was claimed in the 76B by Howdy Holms. This March chassis, 76B-6, was originally piloted by the great Price Cobb. The car has been owned by the late Bob Dorricott for the past ten years and has been maintained by the championship winning Formula Atlantic team Dorricott Racing. The car has had less than 4 hours of testing time on rebuilt motor and gearbox.
