Description
This car was purchased from CART as a promotional car for the 1st Gold Coast Indy in 1995. The car was bought by the Australian Indy Organising Committee which was government funded. The vehicle has never run. The car was then stored for 2 years when purchased by current owner who is NOT a racer. Therefore the car has never been touched. The car was originally Lemans Blue. It was repainted by the current owner's company with original tribal art from native Australian Aborigines. The car has been used as a display in art galleries. The car is unmolested and would be a perfect restoration project. The following observations have been made by a local racer:
1.The cams are missing from both banks 2. No onboard computer management 3. gear selection does not engage (therefore it is suspected that the gearbox is empty). 4. fuel cell full of water for export. 5. tyres original 6. brakes original 7. cockpit untouched It has been relayed by the curent owner that he was informed the car was originally a Fittipaldi car but that has not been confirmed yet.
