1959 Lotus 7 Series 1. One of the fastest under 1 liter Lotus 7s around. This car can beat all but the fastest Climax 7s. In itís last race (Jefferson 500), it won its class. This is a well known car that has been meticulously rebuilt from the frame up over the last 3 years by GMT Racing, one of the most respected vintage race shops in the East. The car has been campaigned very competitively for nearly 70 races. It has one race on a fresh 998 cc original Comptune engine. The car has a C/R dog box and lotus 18 front brakes. Wilwood pedal assembly. Accusump system. All the Ďright bitsí have gone into this car. No expense was spared on preparing this car. It retains the rich patina of 1959 but everything mechanical is either new or fully reconditioned. It is one of the few truly race ready vintage cars you can find today that is also legal everywhere. It comes with VSCCA & SVRA logbooks with documented UK ownership history back to first registration in 1960, as well as the three US owners since the conversion to a racecar in the US 18 years ago. As a note, this car was an original factory Climax powered car (listed on the initial registration). At $35,000 this is absolutely a turnkey racecar.
