a real one you might be interested in this reproduction of the BRP Lotus 25 clone. A privateer effort by
Sirling Moss' father and agent, BRP built back door copies of the officially unavailable Type 25. This
New Zealand restorer found and restored one of the original BRP cars, then later built this faithful
reproduction using the knowledge he gained in the original restoration. It is a superb example of the
fabricator's art and utterly faithful to the original design. It is fitted with a non-original Ford engine.

The car was purchased as a partly burned project. Known history is: Handle by an insurance company in middle 80s and repairing in Sweden during 90s. There is a alu-VIN-plate witch has been rivet in the chassis but its not readable due to damage by fire. The stiff/beautifully chassis, it is a full-length monocoque carrying the engine between rearward extensions. The primary tub material is aluminum-alloy, with steel subframes front and rear. Glue and 5000 rivets are holding it all together. Fuel is carried in either side for a total capacity of 26 gallons. Suspension is all-independent, using Koni adjustable shocks. Bodywork is today all in aluminium and reconstructed from the glass fiber nosepiece of the former mounted Ferrari 312P bodywork. Powerplant is a 5-liter Weber-carbureted small block Chevy with Mouse heads. Transaxle is a 5-speed ZF. There are water and oil radiators mounted on the chassis. Water in front and oil behind both doors. Inlet air-canal through the doors and outlet-canal is in rear bodywork. All as it looks like when I brought the car. The outstanding chassis and bodywork is today ready to paint. Things to make ready before racing is: Instruments, wiring, finish engine, brakelines and safety belts.
