The early oral history of the car has it an SCCA racer in the late 60s to early seventies. It then came into the hands of an owner named Esposito who campaigned it very successfully as a drag racer from 1972 into the late 70s.
The car underwent a somewhat modest restoration in 1987, as evidenced by photos in the FIA papers, and was campaigned regularly by several owners in first VARA and HMSA, then the RMVR and SVRA. Highlights of the car's historic career include two appearences at the Monterey Historics and one at the Old Timer Gran Prix at the Nurburing. The last logbook race entry is in 1993.
