Description

The car was restored in 1995 and has been raced 4 to 5 times a year since. Everything on the car has been rebuilt or replaced. The only non original part that is on the car is the transmission, it is from a Fiat 600d(the owner did not have the original and VSCCA allowed the swap). The Fiat has proven much more reliable than the original one's.

The owner has raced the car all over New England and other North Eastern facilities including; Pocono Raceway, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, New Hampshire and many times in Canada. The car is well known by the VSCCA club members and has always performed well over the years.

History

The T52 made its debut at Goodwood in March of 1960. John Surtees drove that particular car to a second place finish behind Jimmy Clark. The T52 was raced with limited success for they were outclassed by the speed of the Lotus 18, which had the power of the Cosworth Ford engine. However, despite this disadvantage, Henry Taylor managed to win the prestigious Monaco Cup and the Albi Grand Prix.

Recent competition has included; Pocono, New Hampshire, Watkins Glen, Lime Rock and select Canadian events.
