Description

2004 Chevrolet Craftsman Truck Series Silverado, 358 spec motor correct for the 04 season. Dry sump motor with boom exhaust dump on right side, built by Joe Gibbs racing and raced by Denny Hamlin in the Craftsman Truck series. Complete with dual ignition and coils, short trace brakes (Brembo) Ford 9inch rear with 6.0 rear gear, set up for road course racing. This is a double down truck which can be run either road course or circle track. Truck has a 22 gallon fuel cell and runs on Sunoco race fuel. Full containment seat, all gauges, tachometer, brake adjuster, radio hookup, dual fire bottles (5lb and 10lb) for driver compartment and fuel cell area. Kevlar upper radiator hose, all steel braided hose plumbing, oil returns have in-line filters, push to talk button and kill switch on steering wheel. Truck is race ready and has been fully restored and is now painted in the 1995 #3 Goodwrench paint scheme. Comes with new Wrangler tires and an extra set of mounted Goodyear eagles, waterproof truck cover and several other spare parts. Has roof flaps, safety tethers and all NASCAR safety devices. Four speed Super T-10 transmission. Carbon Fiber airbox, Fluidyne radiator with built in oil cooler and additional oil cooler for the valve cover sprayers. Truck has a rear end pump. This is a beautifully restored truck. Truck has not been raced since it was restored in December 2008. Has been used for car shows and other displays only. According to EJP Racing, truck only raced four times in 2004 and has never been bent or wrecked. No sign of replacing of the front or rear clip which substantiates this fact. Has all crush panels in place and NASCAR driveshaft. Engine Builder is Dave Planakis in Fredericksburg, Virginia and he can be made available to answer any questions about the motor. He is a competitor in the vintage racing series and part-time mechanic on an ARCA team.
