Description
The Camaro is a fully race ready turn key car. It has a 1 race old 305 engine bored .030 over, with KB flat top pistons and sealed power rings, pistons are mounted on Eagle rods with floated pins. Crank is lightened and custom ballanced to 1 gram with bob weight just over 100 and radiused journals on main and rods. Block has been zero decked. Oil restrictors installed. Block machine work performed by Carl Stirtz. Heads have been machined by Rebello Racing to national A-Sedan specs. Head flow sheets available. Frerra 6 valves cut down and a spec angle valve job done. Rebello Racing custom AS cam, springs and solid lifters installed. Roller rockers with 1.5 ratio installed. The Holley 600 CFM carb was tuned and dynoed by Rebello Racing. Edelbrock spec manifold installed and machined to match heads. Canton road race pan with scraper, windage tray, and 3 baffles installed with Canton light weight starter. Oil pump is a high volume and pressure, and blue printed. An MSD 6AL ignition box with MSD Pro Billet HEI distributor installed. An Accusump 3 quart oil accumulator with manual valve is installed. A large Griffin aluminum radiator installed with twin independently driver conrolled fans. Aluminum power steering cooler. Hedman hedders 1 5/8" coated 2 into 1 exhaust, with Moroso Spiral flow muffler and insert. No problem meeting sound at Laguna Seca. Car has all Aeroquip AN fuel and oil lines. Battery relocated to rear passenger seat. Custom strut tower brace installed. Front brake air ducts going to 1LE suspension in front. Rear also has 1LE brakes. 1LE front sway bar. New steering links installed at beginning of year. Koni sport yellows on all corners with Afco springs 850# front, 175# rear. ATL super cell 15 gal installed this year in custom enclosure with twin Carter electric pumps. Fire system is an AFFF 5lbs system, user refillable. Autometer gauges custom installed. A Lakewood bellhousing with Performance Friction Dual Frictin clutch installed (2 races) with BM short shifter on newly rebuilt T5WC transmission. Drive shaft is 1LE aluminum balanced unit by Drive Line Specialists. Cage is a modified Auto Power bolt in cage, built to A-Sedan specs. Cage has triple tube rails on driver side and dual rails on passenger side. Frame has welded in Sphon frame rails, no floor boards cut so running other classes is still possible. All cage and frame work done by Busby Motor Sports. Sphon adjustable trailing arms and panhard rod installed. On both rear ends mounts have been installed to adjust height of trailing arms. The Camaro is very clean and professionaly maintained car with custom paint job. It has been extremely well cared for. There is an extensive spare parts package included with the car, enough spares to build another car, just add motor and frame. Mocal oil cooler, mount and fan including remote oil filter included with car.
History
Initailly ran as an PE/ITE car in the SFR SCCA region. Very strong runner in ITE, many top 5's in 2002, finished 5th over all in 2002. The 2003 season started in AS and ran 2 weekends finishing 1st and 3rd. Unable to run more weekends due to schedule.
