Description
This classically shaped formula car has just undergone a total frame up 6 year restoration by one
of the prominent East Coast vintage prep shops. It has a new MWE all stell twincam and a completely
freshened Hewland. Every rod end and fastener has been replaced with new. All suspension components
are freshly plated. It is absolutely perfect and ready to race.
History
New for 1969 works driver Reine Wissell debuted the F3 B15 with a win at Snetterton despite having
broken ribs from writing off a B8 the previous day. He want on to a season of ding-dong F3 battles against
the likes of Tim Shenken, Ronnie Peterson, James Hunt and Emerson Fittipaldi. It was year of epic slipstreaming
battles with the leading protagonists more popular than soccer heroes in their home countries. Wissell
finished the year with six wins and six seconds in international events against Lotus 69s, March 693, and
Brabham BT-21s. Only 15 Formula 3 cars were produced. An even smaller number (7) cars were built to U.S. Formula B and International Formula Libre spec.
