1969 McLaren Ferrari 312 PB "Marauder GT MKV Ferrari 512M"
The car was purchased as a partly burned project. Known history is: Handle by an insurance company in middle 80s and repairing in Sweden during 90s. There is a alu-VIN-plate witch has been rivet in the chassis but its not readable due to damage by fire. The stiff/beautifully chassis, it is a full-length monocoque carrying the engine between rearward extensions. The primary tub material is aluminum-alloy, with steel subframes front and rear. Glue and 5000 rivets are holding it all together. Fuel is carried in either side for a total capacity of 26 gallons. Suspension is all-independent, using Koni adjustable shocks. Bodywork is today all in aluminium and reconstructed from the glass fiber nosepiece of the former mounted Ferrari 312P bodywork. Powerplant is a 5-liter Weber-carbureted small block Chevy with Mouse heads. Transaxle is a 5-speed ZF. There are water and oil radiators mounted on the chassis. Water in front and oil behind both doors. Inlet air-canal through the doors and outlet-canal is in rear bodywork. All as it looks like when I brought the car. The outstanding chassis and bodywork is today ready to paint. Things to make ready before racing is: Instruments, wiring, finish engine, brakelines and safety belts.
