Description
1965 Brabham BT15. Offered as a roller, less engine. Originally a Formula 3 car, subsequently fitted with longer BT18 rear uprights and larger Girling alloy brake calipers and later bodywork, and configured as a Formula B car. Essentially a BT18 but 2,5" shorter. Both the late and early bodywork are included, with low and tall engine covers. The frame is straight and undamaged. Wheels are Brabham 7" and 9", in crack-free and true condition. All suspension parts are straight, with all new rod ends, ball joints, etc. Plating is all either new or very serviceable. 1300 style rear halfshafts, fresh u/joints, plating, and boots. All instruments & wiring complete and new. Original alloy fuel tank. Fire system needs charged. The car was in FB configuration when I purchased it. The gearbox is a Hewland mk4 5-speed which is frankly probably better suited to F3 or FF work until upgraded with mk8/9 internals. The 'box has been disassembled for inspection- all is good save for 2nd driven gear and an iffy pinion bearing. Will be reassembled & installed for shipment. Ford-to-Hewland bellhousing & flywheel. included. New Tilton Superstarter. The car is completely assembled but of course should be gone through before use. Two sets of tires- Vintage Goodyears, near NOS but very old, suitable for static display, and relatively fresh Monoposto-legal Dunlops (about a year old). Rare entry-level price for a beautiful & desirable mid- sixties monoposto car.
