Description
This authentic f2 car has been used in Historic Formula 2 in Europe and proved itself to be highly competitive. It has been maintained professionally regardless of cost and is ideal for historic racing in Europe or USA. It has a strong FVA motor which has been professionally built, the gearbox is fresh from rebuild, and the chassis is in excellent condition. New bag tanks were fitted in 2000 and the car complies with current historic safety regulations having had new fire extinguisher and belts fitted recently. It was last used in August 2003 at the Oulton Park Gold Cup historic meeting where it qualified on the front row against much younger and more powerful opposition including several f5000 cars.
History
Brabham BT30-12 Formula 2. Fully documented history from new, UK FIA papers, ex Irish Racing Cars driven by Allan Rollinson and Tommy Reid. Winner of Bogota F2 Grand Prix and raced in European f2 events in 1970 and 1971. Recent history involves European Historic F2 and HSCC events.
