A unique Scorpione built for hillclimbing in 1971 by well-know race-car preparer/restorer Francesco Landi of Lucca, Italy. Based on a stock 1969 Scorpione SS, but with specially-commissioned Gp6-type nose section and 2ohc 1280cc engine in place of the original ohv unit. Restored 1999-2003 by F&M Motori, Pisa and by UK Abarth specialists Middle Barton Garage, 2007. No competition use since, but race-ready. Street-legal in UK with tax & MOT. Very quick!
Three events in 1971 confirmed -- Pieve Santo Stefano hillclimb (2 May)-- 2nd in 1300 prototype class. Coppa Della Collina hillclimb (30 May) -- accident (which occasioned production of the modified nose section) Alta Garfagnana hillclimb (29 August)-- 1st, 1300 prototype class Also have a photograph captioned 'Trofeo ACI Parma,25 June 1972', but have no further details.
