Description
Race Ready - Just returned from Virginia International Raceway - our first 2009 event. This is a very nice example of a TR4 Surrey Top Vintage race car. Purchased as a barn find in Missouri I built this car into a race car from 2004-2006. First raced at Road America in September of 2006. Since then she has raced at VIR, Mid Ohio, Watkins Glen, Blackhawk, and Autobahn - a very reliable car. The close ratio gearbox, full race cam, carrillos, and the detroit locker make this car quite competitive. The car has been issued era correct certification by VSCDA, and is still street legal with working lights, signals, heater fan, and vintage plates. The engine and Hoosier Speedsters have five race weekends of use - just broken in - turns out I am not the go fast guy. Best time at Road America 3:03. I did leave the track in the rain our second trip to RA - Hood and left rear fender could be replaced to make the car look new again. Hey it's a race car, and very photogenic - pictured in Vintage Motorsport Mar/Apr 2007, and 2009, Victory Lane January 2008.
