Description
Originally constructed for the 1987 FIA F3000 Championship and completed in February 1987. First raced at Silverstone in April of that year where it qualified on pole. Works driver, Roberto Moreno, drove the car to 3rd place in the 1987 championship, taking one win five podiums and four poles. After storage at Ralt, in 1990 it was made into a showcar by Dave Price Racing UK, who fitted the Lotus Honda 99T bodywork of Ayrton Senna's 1987 F1 car. The car went into storage in Hong Kong in 1998 and was bought in March 2004 by the current owner who has completed full restoration to the works Ralt specs. The car was inspected by Ron Tauranac in 2006 at Eastern Creek International Raceway and given his tick of approval.
