Description
1972 Ginetta G15 - Plated VES209L Chassis no.#0579 - one of only 800 ever made by the Walklett brothers. It holds a rich history on both sides of the pond. Purchased in 1983 but sold in 1986 only to be re-purchased and fully restored in 1991 by the original owner. The restoration of this specific Ginetta was documented in "Your Classic" magazine, August 1991. VES209L was then purchased in 1996 and shipped from England to Montreal, Canada - where it currently is cared for by its present owner. There are believed to be 3 Ginetta G15's in Canada, but none as unique and updated as this; it's a one of a kind. The G15 underwent thorough reconditioning and continual racing development; bringing it up to spec to be a VARAC Class Championship Winning car. This winning race car comes with a brake bias control leaver in the cockpit, a Porsche 911 front sway-bar. Carter-built IMP 998cc race engine with a 4-speed Jack Knight close ratio dog box with VW/Audi CV-joints. Although this car can be easily converted to road use with all original parts; this is a true, turn key race car ready for the track! Win with Ginetta!
