History
This is a race ready car built by Vels Parnelli Jones in 1982 and run in several Long Beach Toyota Gran Prix Pro-Am Celebrity races beginning in 1982. Two famous fabricators, Steve Hasegawa and Bill Eaton did the work. This is a Japan configuration car brought to the U.S. by the factory and has always been a racecar. All of the above information verified by Toyota who still has an example of the original 1982 Pro/Am fleet in their museum. This car needs nothing to get out on the track and go. Permission obtained from Toyota to use the designation "Toyota Historic Racing". Recently raced in HSR West competitions on tracks all over the Western United States.
