Description
Unipower GT, this is one of only 75 produced by Universal Power Drive at Perivale London between 1966-1970. This is one of the 50 approximately surviving examples. This is car 27 one of the 12 that were exported to the USA in 1967. The car has lived in Tennessee, Arizona and later in Denver. In 2006 it was repatriated back to the UK were it underwent a full restoration. The body and chassis has been fully prepared and repainted. All other parts were shot blasted and powder coated. Engine and gear box had a full re-build. Suspension, hubs, brakes and steering has been all replaced with new parts or overhauled with old/new stock. The car has been fully rewired and to finish has had a complete re-trim. To sum the car up it has a very high standard of finish, inside and out since it was recommissioned in 2008. It has been kept as close Periodly as possible to the original spec that it would have had in leaving the factory in 1967. It is UK registered, taxed and MOT. The car was featured in Classic car December 2009, it has also been in Mini Mag and Complete Kit Car as well as in the new Maximum Mini book. it was invited to take part by Cartier in the Style et Luxe award at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and by Goodwood for the Revival 50th year Mini celebrations.
