The Kelmark GT was the first American production car to go OVER 200 MPH (Car & Driver 1977) With styling inspired by the Ferrari 206 Dino GT, this was not only Ferrari�s first mid-engined production car, but was also the new Ferrari-based Dino brand. The Kelmark is graceful, aerodynamic and combined the looks of the Dino with the Astro II XP-880 Mid Engine 1968 Corvette concept car. Component car pioneers Russ Keller and Randy Markham began building Kelmarks in Okemas, Michigan, in 1969. The Kelmark ceased production in all forms in the mid '90s, and possibly only a few dozen exist today. This is the last remaining of only 3 original�s ever built with this configuration. A true collector at 35 years old. The Kelmark was a real, purpose-built supercar that sold for more than $20,000 in 1974 We found this Kelmark GT1 in �94 after it had been stored in a garage for 20 years. Professionally restored over 5 years with 70K$ by a veteran Motion Picture Vehicle Coordinator. This striking car has appeared in films, commercials and print ads worldwide. A very solid vintage race car that can be street driven! California Smog exempt ! A Similar model pulled .89 G's on the skidpad and topped 202.7 mph in 1977 "This is the fastest documented speed ever attained by a street machine" (Car & Driver 1977)
