Description
reliable race car, equipped to meet SCCA specs and should pass an SCCA inspection for a logbook. Was inspected in 2008 by SCCA and failed and has been updated but has not been reinspected at this time. I have raced this car in Midwest council races since 2001 and car was raced by others in council previously. I usually race 2 to 4 races yearly and am a cautious driver.(often braking early and rarely going 4 wheels off) Very strong acceleration, makes up for conservative cornering, I always finish ahead of my start position and midpack. Was damaged in right front corner last year and has been repaired. No other damage history as I am aware of. Rejetted carb, racing beat exhaust, new belts, recent fuel cell and toyo proxie tires. Selling as I have bought a newer RX-7. Extra body available and spares.
History
first year of original body style, ending production in 1985. Updated to limited slip and rear wheel disc brakes and electronic ignition from '81 model. Car has 78000 miles on od. Second owner and racer as I am aware. Always raced in Midwest Council or autocrossed locally. Last raced at Autobaun Country Club in fall of 2008.
