The YES! Cup/R is a track and competition sports car, based out of Grossenhain, Germany, that is handcrafted by a team of six mechanics. Originally started in a historical aircraft hangar near Dresden, Yes’s slogan is Pure Driving Pleasure, which is exemplified in the Cup/R, which was designed to never sacrifice performance. It is a non-street-legal, track-only car. This 2007 Cup/R is powered by an Audi dual overhead cam, 5 valves per cylinder, turbocharged and intercooled inline four-cylinder engine that produces 286 horsepower and 280 lbs/ft of torque. Mated to the powerful 4 cylinder is a full syncromesh 5 speed manual transmission. Keeping the Cup/R tight in the corners is a four wheel independent suspension with double wishbones, coil springs, adjustable dampers, and front and rear anti-roll bars. Also providing superior traction are the 225/40ZR18 Yohahama A048 tires in the front and 265/35ZR18 in the back. The 18 inch wheels measure 8.5 inches wide in the front, and 10 inches wide in the back. Stopping power is provided by Brembo cross drilled and ventilated discs on all four corners, with Brembo four piston calipers in both the front and the rear. The driver is strapped in to a Recaro racing seat with a 5 point safety harness. The interior is also equipped with a cable operated chemical fire extinguisher, quick release steering wheel, and gauges which include speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and boost pressure. Weighing in at just 1,400 lbs, the Cup/R tears to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds, 125mph in just 11 seconds, and is capable of a top speed of 167mph.
