Description
1969 Alfa GTV vintage racer. It raced in Hill climbs and SOLO 1 early in its history.In 1999-2001 it was converted into a Vintage road racer by Andy Greene in Savannah,Ga. It has a 1750 Alfa race engine that needs to be re-assembled. Included with the engine is a new complete over haul kit from John Norman's Alfa Parts with all new gaskets and bearings. Also included are new Megacycle cams, JE 12.5:1 pistons, timing chains, rod and main bearings, thrust washers, and cam followers.Invoice for new parts available. Twin 40 DCOE Weber carbs and custom 4-into one header. The red paint is fairly recent and nice. It has a 8-point cage w/padding,remote oil filter and cooler,electric fan,MSD 6AL ignition,stock 5-speed transmission,locker rear axle,slotted cross drilled rotors,adjustable brake bias,Sprax shocks on front,QA-1 12-way adjustable alum. shocks in rear,front and rear sway bars,14x6 Minilites(4),12 gallon Fuel Safe cell,Holley electric fuel pump,on board fire system,Sparco racing seat,de-tachable Personal suede steering wheel,custom race dash with quality gauges/switches/and plumbing.Dry cell battery.With the included race engine assembled and installed, the car would be race ready.
History
SCCA Log books document history back to 1989 at the Chemney Rock Hill Climb. During the 90's it raced both Hill Climbs and Solo 1. From 1999-2001 it was built into a Vintage road racer at Andy Greene's shop in Savannah,Ga. Log books indicate first Vintage race at Watkins Glen SVRA race in September 2002. Last race was at California Speedway HSRW race in June 2004.
