Description
This car is reported to be the last Winklemann constructed and imported. It was fully restored in 1999-2000. I bought the car in October of 2000. I immediately proceeded to make the car comply to Monoposto/vintage rules. That work is complete except for the spec Dunlop tires. This includes a new Toyota type starter motor and engine to transaxel adapter (Titan). I can supply a complete list of the work done upon request. Along with the car is a 'nose' mold and a newly fabricated open trailer.
History
The Winklemann?Palliser brand was raced in Europe, Canada and the United States since 1968. This constructor adapted the basic chassis to compete in several classes including Formula Ford, Formula Super V, Formula 2 & 3 in Europe and other Formula Libre' using various 4-6-8 cylinder engines. The company ceased operations in 1972. I have a full set of historical documents from the 6 previous owners.
