Description
This car was completely restored to original condition in 1995 in conjunction with James Denty to the highest standard. James is the son of the international Lotus Restorer, Peter Denty. At that time all suspect parts were replaced with new or refurbished. The engine and gearbox was rebuilt with all new internals, fuel cells were, leak checked and new foam added. When complete James drove the car at a VARA meeting in Las Vegas and was at the head of the field in every session he ran. Since then the car has only done 5 gentle events and has approximately 10 hour running.
History
This the last model Lotus Components built for sale to the public and was a very sucessful model in all the different formulas it ran in. In fact it was the only model to run in every single seater formula in Euope in the 70's i.e. FF,F3,F2,FA&FB and also F1, Pete Lovely of Seattle had one converted to use a Cosworth DFV V8 engine and ran it in the US GP.
