Description
I bought this car in 1987 (have pink slip and CA license plate) and restored it for the street. I slowly changed it to a slalom car, then into a race car in 1995 and have been up rating springs, sway bar and engine mods til present to stay competive in class. (I still have all parts to convert car back to street use.) I had the fenders moved out 1 1/2 inches to accommodate wider wheels and tires. 1770 cc engine with 230 HP. Weight 1430 lbs. Only has about 6 hours since last engine rebuild Hethel Engineering of Chatsworth CA. It is a well balanced very competetive vintage race car. Transponder installed. The wife and I would rather spend our time travelling than stay home to work on cars and race them. You may notice the very tall roll bar--that's because I'm 6 foot 10 inches tall (and I fit in the car!).
History
Has been vintage raced with VARA for 10 years.
Recent Competition History
