Description
Originally built and campaigned in Britain, Elva 200 #004's most historic race finish came at a rain-soaked Silverstone in 1960, when Chuck Dietrich finished an impressive third behind the Ford-powered Lotus 18s of Henry Taylor and Peter Arundell. This is a testament to the Elva chassis, as #004 was equipped with the inferior BMC A-series motor. #004 was rediscovered in Indiana and restored by Michael's Vintage Racing, in 2005-6. It finishes near the front of any Formula Junior group it races in, even when competing against newer machinery. It is one of three Elva 200s running and they're the only three in the country. IMPORTANT: THE MOTOR NEEDS TO BE REFRESHED. IT RUNS GREAT, BUT HAS 30+ HOURS ON IT.
