Description
This car was built by the late Larry Park of S.F. Region SCCA as his 1st road race car. Larry took this car through Driving School in 1979 and raced GT-1 Trans Am up and down the west coast from 1980-1983. Log book shows entries from the Vegas Trans Am, Sears Point, Laguna Seca, PIR, and Seattle. He broke track records at Sears Point in 1981, @ 1:46:34 and took 1st place in the GT-1 @ the 4th Annual Pacific Coast Road Racing Championships with that record lap, beating out the Big Bore cars. HE also broke the Laguna Record on Sept 7th, 1980 @ 1:12:35. Today the car comes with a Frank Emmett Greenwood Wide Body done as a roadster, plus I have the original body Larry Park had. With this history, the car should qualify for Sovren's new GT Thunder Vintage class. My research shows this was a small block GT-1 car in the early 80's. I have the log books and the chassis is marked. Log Books verify the car ran 1980-1983 in a least 4 GT Trans Am races each year.
